About Me

I am computer engineering Phd Student at Lehigh University. I am co-advised by Prof. Mooi Chuah, Prof. Tiffany Li and Prof. Brian D. Davison. In my research, I apply data mining, machine learning techniques to detect new media bias and power systems security vulnerabilities.

Besides reading papers and training my models, I enjoy listening to music, skating and swimming.

  • Design and simulate attack scheme on demand side and generation side using IEEE dataset
  • Design metrics to evaluate attack efficiency and computation complexity (matlab)
  • Analyze economic impact of attack

Intelligent decision support system for help-desk system using Interactive CBR - (09/2013 – 11/2013)

  • Rank cases according to their Aggregated Similarity metric SIM to the current problem
  • Rank attributes in descending order according to their information gain

Investigate on holography in computer image - (09/2012 – 11/2012)

  • Investigate on the feasibility of lensless imaging of white cells

Recognizing hand-written digits - (09/2012 – 11/2012)

  • Implement Bayes classifier, K-nearest neighbor classifier and Support Vector Machine classifier for letter recognition.
  • Extract features such as moment space and pixel space features to improve the classification models.

Investigate on content-centric network - (05/2012 – 08/2012)

  • Design and build Attribute Query System (2500 lines of C++ code)
  • Search content based on content’s attribute not content’s IP address

Implement a user-level thread library in Linux - (02/2012 – 03/2012)

  • Allow the usage of preemptive multithreaded programming
  • Enable spawning and controlling tasks

Work Experience

Intern - Nokia Siemens Networks (Beijing) LTD. CO (06/2009 – 09/2010)

Evaluated the performance of g.729.1 and X.264 codec running on multi-core processor TilePro64 in embedded system of multimedia gateway of IMS core network with focus on Megacycles per second, channel density, power efficiency using C++. Explored load balancing algorithms of P2P network
